Millawa Paints & Quaterhorses

In 2010 we purchased 2 quarter horse mares from an Australian cutting champion residing at Canungra. They were Spin Around Daddy a lovely young bay cutting trained mare and Sandy Girl a wonderful chestnut mare who had been professionally mustering for a number of years out west. These horses are kind, inquisitive and an absolute pleasure to ride. They are not for beginners being a little feisty at times but you can leave them for months and just get on them and ride. We love the fact that we can walk into the paddock and call them and they come running. Nothing fazes them and they load into a float or go anywhere if you just ask. We then started looking for  horse for Hugh. Being a non rider we needed something that a beginner could ride yet had enough spirit to be fun as well Reckless Chic O'lena came to Millawa Ranch and his forever home. He is a lovely gentleman but in hindsight is perhaps a little lively for an inexperienced rider.

Whoops wrong photo this is Tucker escaping from the Jenny Craig paddock!!!

In 2011 we took the mares to Gympie to Quirran-Lea Paint and Quarterhorse stud and introduced them to QL Right on the Money a homozygous black and white tobiano Paint stallion. Our beautiful foals were a wonder to behold and they turned 2 recently so were off to horse college to get educated about riding and people. this year we had the full brother and sister born and they are as wonderful as our first youngsters. What a joy to see them cantering about the paddock in the sunshine. We do love our horses.
